Partnership with Haryana Govt
Letz Dream Foundation partnered with Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission (HSRLM) in 2018. Working in 20 blocks and 7 districts of Haryana, LDF aims to institutionalise the cluster level federations, ensure women have access to funds for taking up livelihood activities and bring about sustainable change in their lives.
Letz Dream Foundation has worked towards building a community of rural women with sustainable livelihood. The partnership with National Rural Livelihoods Mission is a step towards achieving our vision.
National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) is widely acclaimed as one of the largest, most comprehensive and groundbreaking poverty reduction programmes in the world, introduced and implemented by the Central Government of India in June, 2011. NRLM's mandate is to reach out to all the underserved families, link them to sustainable livelihoods opportunities and nurture them till they come out of poverty and enjoy a decent quality of life. The basic purpose of NRLM was to put in place a dedicated and sensitive support structure from the national level to the sub-district level to focus on the poor and build and sustain their organisations at different levels.
In Haryana, NRLM has been implemented since 2013. In the 1st phase, 4 districts namely Bhiwani, Kaithal, Jhajjar and Mewat were selected as intensive districts and one block in each district was taken as a resource block. In 2014-15, five new districts (Panchkula, Karnal, Rohtak, Hisar and Fatehabad) have been included in the intensive implementation strategy and 10 blocks have been selected in these districts (Pinjore, Morni, Gharaunda, Indri, Narnaund, Hansi-I, Fatehabad, Jhakal, Kalanaur and Lakahanmajra).
LDF signed an MoU with HSRLM in October 2018, to work in these 9 districts, 20 blocks and 31 CLFs. LDF associates will work closely with the community in bringing about sustained improvement in the incomes, livelihoods, well-being and empowerment status of the rural poor targeted.
